Digital Transitions: challenges and opportunities
Dr.Marco Bevolo
The presentation will elaborate on how co-creative, constructivist, design-driven educational events were designed and performed before Covid-19, with a reflection on how the accelerated digital transition will change didactics and models of education, from the adoption of data-driven digital platforms to the actual reframing of certification. Attention will be given to diversity and inclusiveness, as digital transformations will affect the access to microcredits and data tracking will enable to measure and demonstrate participation or not to virtual classrooms.

Assessment in Online Contexts: Competency-Based Tools in LMSs for Non-Point Evaluations
RICHard powers
This presentation covers assessments for asynchronous modalities in online/blended learning contexts. Virtual learning environments/learning management systems have ever-increasingly effective tools and features to assess learners using competency-based-learning models.
Moving away from decades of point-based, “carrot and stick” course motivators through online gradebooks, current competency-based assessment tools map learning activities through module/course learning objectives to course/program competencies. These platform-centered associations can be implemented at course and program level, then scaled throughout corporate organizations (for training) and educational institutions (for all levels of education). Come learn how institutions are doing this.
