Save time and ensure academic integrity

FeedbackFruits tool suite has been supporting many higher education institutions to cultivate a learning environment that encourages meaningful interactions, feedback, engagement, and collaboration.

With 15 solutions, faculties can implement different pedagogical approaches, such as peer/ group assessment, asynchronous discussion, pre-class content comprehension, and collaborative projects. For several of FeedbackFruits activities, students are required to make a submission and then engage in feedback exchange, discussion, and such. To ensure academic integrity and reduce plagiarism, faculties also asked students to submit their work to Turnitin for checking before working on the FeedbackFruits activities. This process was cumbersome and time-consuming for both instructors and students, demanding extra time for set-up and completion.

The need to address this issue has sparked the collaboration between Turnitin and FeedbackFruits, which allows for the use of the plagiarism checker within a FeedbackFruits activity seamlessly. While making sure students create original assignments, this integration allows faculties to save time in reviewing assignments and ensure academic integrity and fairness throughout the course.

Remarking on this Technical Integration Partnership with Turnitin, Joost Verdoorn – Chief Product Office at FeedbackFruits commented:

“With the integration of Turnitin and FeedbackFruits, we take one more step in our commitment to reducing the workload of educators, allowing them to focus on what matters most: preparing the next generation for the world of tomorrow.”

How does the Turnitin integration work?

When setting up any FeedbackFruits activity, instructors can simply turn on the plagiarism checker in the “Edit” mode.

Once this is done, students can submit their assignments and engage in the review process following the usual FeedbackFruits activity flow. At the same time, an originality percentage score report is then generated for each student’s submission.

Next to that percentage report, students can access the full Turnitin plagiarism report by just clicking the “View” button.
