Why this learning journey?

Learning journeys are multi-step course templates based on active learning for different target learning outcomes. This journey will help you with:

Stimulate active engagement with course materials

The journey allows faculties to create multiple interaction moments where students are encourage to engage with multimedia content (video, documents, or audio), which aligns with RSI regulations.

Generate multi-layer conversations

Aside from student-content interaction, instructors can generate meaningful dialogues at student-student and teacher-student level by organizing online discussions.

Provide plenty feedback opportunities

STEP 1

Pre-class content study

With Interactive Study Materials tools, instructors can either upload a pre-recorded lecture, article or audio and enrich them with questions and discussions for students to respond to. To save time, instructors can use the Engagement Assistant (powered by AI) in the tool to create context-based open questions and discussion prompts. Students work in groups to study the use case by responding to the teacher’s prompts and discussing with their peers.This step significantly encourages active engagement and interaction with the content right from the start, resulting deeper understanding.

Clarification sessions

Instructors organize and interactive in-class session using Interactive Presentation tool to dive deeper into the content covered prior to class time, by explaining the misconceptions and and answering the questions emerged during the pre-class activity.

Step 3

Asynchronous discussion

Students further improve their understanding on the content by discussing a prompt provided by instructors within the Discussion on Topic tool. This step helps stimulate critical thinking and reflection, while encouraging collaboration among students.

Step 4

Work on deliverables and teacher feedback

Based on the input from the previous steps, students work on a deliverable (research report, proposal or review), then submit it to Assignment Review tool. Within the tool, students can receive in-line feedback from instructors and respond to them.
