Activity steps

  1. Read instructions: Students go through the instructions to understand the activity requirements
  2. Social Annotation: Students open the interactive document to answer question cards and participate in discussion threads, aimed at encouraging students to engage with diverse perspectives around the issue 
  3. Rate students’ discussion contributions: Teachers assign ratings of quality of the discussion contributions
  4. Feedback-on-feedback: Recipients rate their received feedback on a usefulness scale of 1 to 10, with optional written clarification
  5. Grading: Instructors review the student's participation and assign a grade for completion.

In this activity

  • While it can be used individually, this activity is part of the ‘Socratic Method’ learning journey.
  • This example focuses on the topic 'AI surveillance in marketing'. You can adapt the topic to fit your own need by changing the document in the activity. 
  • Anonymity is turned off so that students can see who they are engaging with in their discussion posts 
  • Teachers assign ratings to the students discussion posts, students then rate this on a usefulness scale of 1 -10
