Group Member Evaluation

Empowering students with a critical and collaborative space

In this activity

  • This activity is the second step in a structured learning journey designed to scaffold collaboration and group dynamics across a group project, conducted early to check in on initial group coordination and surface any collaboration challenges in good time. You can find the other steps here, here and here.
  • By introducing a structured peer evaluation at the interim stage, educators can proactively address free-riding and unequal contributions before the final phase of the project.
  • A reflection step is included, where students consider the feedback they have received and assess whether it has changed their perspective, making the evaluation a meaningful learning experience that builds self-awareness and informs their approach to collaboration going forward.
  • Anonymity is enabled to encourage honest and constructive feedback, though this setting can be adjusted to suit your course structure.
