  1. Read instructions: Students carefully review the instructions and learning outcomes of the activity.
  2. Submission: Students submit a practice paper 
  3. Provide peer feedback: Students practice giving feedback to their peers, based on the feedback criteria set by the teacher
  4. Received reviews and feedback-on-feedback: Recipients rate their received feedback on a usefulness scale of 1 to 10, and provide clarification
  5. Grading: Grades are based on students completing the peer review

Peer Review

Stimulate lifelong learning with peer feedback

In this activity

  • This activity is designed to be conducted in-class, guiding students step-by-step through giving and receiving feedback. 
  • The estimated timing is 30–40 minutes if students write during class, or 20–30 minutes if submissions are completed beforehand.
  • Students submit a short practice paper to familiarize themselves with using the peer review tool effectively. 
  • Practice feedback criteria are provided to help students give constructive feedback in a low-pressure environment; these criteria can be customized or expanded as needed.
  • Feedback-on-feedback is enabled, allowing students to practice evaluating and providing constructive comments on the feedback their peers provide.
  • Anonymity is enabled to ensure students receive feedback without bias, but this setting can be adjusted if desired.
