Start using this template

Activity steps

  1. Read instructions: Students carefully review the instructions and learning outcomes of the activity.
  2. Submission: Students submit research they have put together as a group 
  3. Provide peer feedback: Students review their peers research using  predefined assessment criteria
  4. Received reviews and feedback-on-feedback: Students read their received feedback and rate it on a usefulness scale of 1 to 10, with optional written clarification
  5. Reflections: Students reflect on the outcomes of the activity and how they can use the peer feedback to improve their research.
  6. Grading: Grades are based on students uploading their essays andcompleting giving feedback to their peers

Activity goals

This activity helps facilitate a flipped classroom approach to your teaching. When student engage with material prior to class there are several benefits:
  1. Read instructions: Students carefully review the instructions and learning outcomes of the activity.

In this activity

  • It is expected that students have conducted research together as a group prior to the activity taking place. 
  • Students hand in their work as a group. Adjust the group settings to fit your class. 
  • Structured scale-rating criteria have been added to guide students with giving each other feedback. This can be added to or adjusted as needed
