Activity steps

  1. Read instructions: In this step, students are expected to review the instructions for the activity and read the prompt to their discussion
  2. Discussion posts: Students are expected to post their response to the discussion prompt, supporting their argument with ethical reasoning 
  3. Peer discussion: Students reply to each other’s posts with feedback, counter arguments and socratic-style questions 
  4. Reflection: Students reflect on key insights from the discussion 
  5. Grading: Grading is based on students completing the discussion and responding to peers

Activity goals

This activity helps facilitate a flipped classroom approach to your teaching. When student engage with material prior to class there are several benefits:
