Instructors upload multimedia study materials to Interactive Study Materials tool then annotate these with question and discussion prompts. By engaging with the prompts, students gain deep understanding of the topic and better prepared to start writing. To save time, instructors can use the Engagement Assistant feature in Interactive Document (powered by AI) to create context-based open questions and discussion prompts.
After students have studied the materials, instructors provide detailed instructions and guidelines for the writing assignment. Once students understood the requirements, they proceed to work on the first draft using the input gained during the preparation step.
Students receive instant, formative feedback on technical aspects of their writing like reference styles, spelling, grammar, and more within the Automated Feedback tool.
Students also submit their 1st draft to the Peer Review tool and provide feedback on their peers’ submissions, based on a set of criteria. This step holds students responsible for their own writing.
Students decide on which feedback to improve on, and proceed to produce the second draft.
Students improve and finalize their writing based on the feedback and teacher insights. They then submit the work and receive teacher feedback within Assignment Review tool.
• ASYNCHRONOUS • INDIVIDUAL
Students reflect on the entire writing process, what feedback was useful to them and which feedback they decided not to implement and why. This can help with their self-regulatory learning, and reflect on how they took action, what they want to improve and how. This step can be added easily using the Self Assessment tool.
