  • This interdisciplinary activity invites students to look beyond the first AI-generated answer, using three different generative AI tools to summarise the same scholarly source and critically compare the outputs for accuracy, clarity, completeness, and usefulness.
  • Students verify important claims against the original source, identifying errors, missing information, and oversimplifications — developing the habit of using AI as a starting point rather than a final answer.
  • Students create their own explainer — as a short video, narrated slides, or written response — communicating a key concept, claim, or question from the source in their own words, addressing what the idea is, why it matters, and what questions or implications it raises.
  • Peer review is structured around the CAAA criteria: Clarity, Accuracy, Accessibility, and Audience Alignment, with each reviewer identifying one strength and one specific suggestion for improvement.
