Comprehension tool lets instructors the opportunity to upload different study materials (documents, video, or audio) for students to review while identifying and priming on predefined topics to guarantee a better understanding of the study material.
Select your LMS:
Instructors upload study materials in different formats (documents, audios, or videos), set instructions and deadlines, as well as specify the topics, and themes to be annotated.
Students study the materials then annotate the passages where the outlined topics are discussed, and also respond to others’ annotations.
Instructors require students to write a summary based on their annotations to demonstrate overall understanding of the content.
Instructors can upload content in different formats (audio, video, image, or text-based) to accommodate diverse learning needs and preferences.
Specify the topics or subjects to highlight, the number of annotations to be made, and whether students should write a summary.
Instructors get a “bigger picture” of overall class performance via the heatmap of students’ annotations. This shows the most highlighted sections, or emerging questions, thus allowing for timely adjustments and intervention.
Being able to see others' annotations and different interpretations of the texts allows students to gain a better understanding of the readings. This then sparks more in-depth discussions and deeper learning among the students.
Grade students based on different requirements (number of annotations, summary completion, and reflection writing), then synchronize the results with your native LMS
Access students’ progress and participation within the tool, thus downloading the analytics files in excel or csv form for more thorough analysis and long-term strategy.
