To evaluate this year’s submissions, we brought together a panel of leaders whose work spans teaching, digital learning, assessment design, and research. Their collective expertise ensures that each shortlisted activity is recognised not only for creativity, but for its genuine impact on learners.
• Professor Gilly Salmon, Education Alchemists
• Professor Michael Sankey, Charles Darwin University
• Dr. John Liu, Principal Research Scientist, MIT
• Neil Greenley, MBA Director and Principal Lecturer, University of Hertfordshire
Their insights and perspectives will help shape the live panel discussion during the ceremony.
This year’s finalists represent educators who brought bold, thoughtful, and learner centered ideas into their classrooms. Across assessment, collaboration, and engagement, these designs demonstrate what happens when educators rethink the learning experience with intention and creativity.
Shortlisted activities fall into three award categories:
• Innovative Assessment Design
• Collaborative Learning Excellence
• Outstanding Engagement Experience
Each submission tells a story of experimentation, care, and a commitment to helping students grow.
You can explore the full list on the LDC Awards website.
The Learning Design Community was created to make learning design visible, shareable, and collaborative. Each template contributed to the community expands a library of practical tools that educators around the world can adopt and adapt.
The LDC Awards build on this mission by recognising the educators who push boundaries, spark new approaches, and show what meaningful learning design can achieve. This ceremony is not only a celebration, it is an invitation to keep building, sharing, and shaping the future of learning together.
We invite you to be part of the first edition of the Learning Design Community Awards Ceremony.
Join us live to discover this year’s winners, hear from the jury, and connect with educators who are redefining learning design every day.
We look forward to celebrating with you!
