If your institution is based in Texas, data security compliance is not something you can leave to chance. FeedbackFruits has achieved TX-RAMP Level 2 Certification, the highest tier under Texas' cloud security framework, so your team can move forward with confidence from day one.
We have some exciting news to share. FeedbackFruits has officially achieved TX-RAMP Level 2 Certification, the highest level of cloud security authorization under the Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program.
If you work at a Texas institution, this one is for you.
TX-RAMP stands for the Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program. It is a cybersecurity framework created by the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) to make sure that any cloud-based tool used by Texas state agencies and higher education institutions meets rigorous, independently validated security standards.
Think of it as a trust standard for EdTech. Before your institution can contract with a cloud service provider, that provider needs to prove their security practices are up to scratch. TX-RAMP is how Texas makes sure that happens.
It has been a legal requirement since January 2022 for services handling confidential or regulated data, and it is built on the same federal NIST 800-53 standards that underpin FedRAMP, the national framework for government cloud security.
If your institution is a Texas state agency or public university, working with a TX-RAMP certified vendor is not optional. Texas law requires it. That means your IT and procurement teams need to verify compliance before any contract can move forward, and that process can take time.
When you choose FeedbackFruits, that part of the compliance conversation is already covered. Your teams can move forward with confidence from day one, and your teaching and learning staff can focus on what they actually came to do: design great experiences for their students.
For department leads and faculty, TX-RAMP Level 2 means the tool handling your students' data has been independently assessed against 223 security controls, with vulnerabilities monitored every quarter and disclosure protocols aligned to TX-RAMP requirements, including timely notification to the Texas DIR in the event of a security incident.
That is the kind of foundation that lets everyone at your institution move forward with peace of mind.
And on our side? Honestly, we are prouder of what the certification represents than the compliance box it ticks. Earning TX-RAMP Level 2 is a signal of how seriously we take the trust institutions place in us. Your students' data is handled with care and in line with Texas state requirements, and this certification is one way we demonstrate that commitment.
TX-RAMP has two levels, and the one that applies depends on the type of data involved.
Level 1 is for cloud services that handle public or non-confidential data in low-impact systems. It covers 117 security controls and requires annual monitoring.
Level 2 is for cloud services that handle confidential or regulated data, including student Personally Identifiable Information (PII), in moderate or high impact systems. It covers 223 security controls, requires quarterly monitoring reports, and mandates that any security incident is disclosed to the DIR within 48 hours.
FeedbackFruits holds TX-RAMP Level 2, the highest standard available.
TX-RAMP Level 2 is one part of how we approach trust at FeedbackFruits. It sits alongside our broader commitment to responsible data governance, transparent practices, and continuous improvement across every product we build.

Every year, the Texas Digital Learning Conference brings together 400+ educators, instructional designers, and EdTech professionals from across the state for a few days of learning, sharing, and honest conversations about the future of digital education in Texas. It is the kind of event where you run into people who get it, the ones thinking deeply about how to make online and blended learning actually work for students.
The conference runs March 23 to 26 in Galveston and we will be set up at Booth 208 for the whole event. Whether you want to see our solutions in action, talk through what TX-RAMP compliance looks like in practice for your institution, or just explore what better feedback and active learning can look like for your learners.
See you in Galveston!
