The University of Arizona has been a valued FeedbackFruits partner since launching their pilot in 2023. We visited their campus in Tucson last March to hear the story firsthand, the result is the video you can watch below.
What started as an initial pilot has since grown into a successful institution-wide rollout, with strong adoption across the university. We visited their campus to learn more about their institutional priorities, how FeedbackFruits supports their teaching and learning goals, and the real impact this partnership has had on both educators and students.
In March 2025, we sat down with the instructional designers, faculty, and academic leaders who built this partnership from the ground up, hearing firsthand about the rollout journey, key successes, and lessons learned along the way.

Before FeedbackFruits, peer review at the University of Arizona meant cobbling together multiple applications for a single activity. The process was time-consuming for instructors and confusing for students, resulting in feedback that felt surface-level rather than genuinely useful.
"Before we switched to FeedbackFruits, peer review felt really ineffective and really kind of surface level. We would have to mix multiple applications together. You can imagine it's time-consuming and kind of confusing for students."
The university set out to find something better, and they did it the right way: by putting students at the center of the decision. Through the Student Advisory Board for Instructional Technology (SABIT), ten elected students evaluated peer review solutions against Quality Matters standards. Their feedback was unambiguous, and FeedbackFruits was selected.

For instructors, consolidating tools into one platform meant spending less time managing logistics and more time coaching students. For students, the structure and clarity of FeedbackFruits made peer review feel like a meaningful activity rather than an administrative hurdle.
"Being able to consolidate 15 tools into just one platform is very valuable. The ease of use, the organised structure of how the activities are in FeedbackFruits, was really valuable to us as well as the students."
"I see that students are much more willing to engage in the peer review, and I feel like I can be a more effective peer review coach than I used to be able to."
At the institutional level, this connects to something larger. The University of Arizona's strategic priority is what they call success for every student, creating a university where students feel a genuine sense of belonging and are truly invested in their learning. As their leadership shared with us on campus, that sense of community is hard to build in digital learning environments, but achievable with the right tools.
Visiting the University of Arizona campus was a chance to connect in person with one of our partner institutions and see how they are transforming the learning experience at scale. The team that introduced FeedbackFruits, built the rollout, and championed its adoption across the university is exceptional, and their story is one we wanted to tell properly.
Watch the full video above to hear it in their own words. And if you want to go deeper into how the adoption journey started, our written case study covers the full story of how a student-led evaluation process led to campus-wide change.
